POE Adapter
Set-up
The POE adapter, often called the power supply, is the small black or white box that your radio plugs into. POE stands for Power Over Ethernet- this provides power to the radio in your antenna. It must be plugged into a power outlet. When you find yourself without service, this would be the first thing to check.
Make sure there is a light on the POE adapter.
Make sure the power outlet the POE adapter is plugged into is functioning properly. (Sometimes power strips get switched off accidentally)
Make sure the cables plugged into the POE adapter are pushed in all the way.
The cable from your antenna that is run into your home/business should be plugged into the POE port of the POE adapter. This provides power to your radio/antenna.
Cube Router
Set-up
If you have a Cube router, your POE set-up is a little different.
Make sure the cables are plugged into the POE adapter and Cube are pushed in all the way
Make sure the power outlet the POE adapter is plugged into is functioning properly.
(Sometimes power strips get switched off accidentally)
Make sure there is a light on the POE adapter.
The Ethernet cable from your antenna should be plugged into the WAN POE Out Port of the Cube router.
An Ethernet cable should be plugged into the POE port of your POE adapter and into the POE IN Port of your Cube router.
Radio/Antenna LED Indicators
If the POE adapter set-up is correct, there is a light on your POE adapter and your service is down, check the LED indicators on your antenna. We use several different kinds of antennas- click on the image of what your antenna looks like to enlarge and see where to look for the LED indicators. If there are no LED lights lit up, there is no power to your antenna- recheck your POE adapter set-up. If there are LED lights lit on the antenna, take note of how many LEDs are lit to report to MTT support.
